I think I may be having a GoDaddy issue with my paths. I’m moving a site from version 2.2.2 to version 5.3.2. I’m not doing the update, the site only has 30 entries. The current site works on the front end but the back end of version 2.2.2 is a hot mess. I have manually moved the templates from the 2.2.2 version to a fresh 5.3.2 version and am getting the following error “No input file specified” when I try to go anywhere from the homepage (which is working)
When I try to pull up the home page www.domain.com/{template_group}/ I get the same error message, but just domain.com and domain.com/index.php gives me my homepage with the appropriate content.
Any thoughts? The last version of EE I worked with was 2.something but the new version looks familiar enough that I can get around and be dangerous…LOL
Thank you!
Hi Rayna,
Thanks for getting in touch about this. If you try to access your tempalte_group URL with index.php in the URL does it then work?
So instead of:
www.domain.com/{template_group}/
It would be:
www.domain.com/index.php/{template_group}/
If so you likely have an .htaccess issue.
Have you run the ee_wizard on your site to make certain you have all the prerequisites in place? For instance, I had the correct version of PHP, but did not have ZIP checked as one of the modules at GoDaddy (“PHP version” in cPanel under “Software”), so the updater would not work. Sometimes it is stuff like that.
