To the newest version of Textile. Now Textpattern 4.0.5 is out they have released some important fixes. I really want to be able to add classes to links which I currently can’t do.
It looks quite simple to update but I’m afraid I may get it wrong.
Revision 2462 is the current revision in the 4.0.5 branch of TextPattern. We last updated the Textile plugin on March 16, and the only revisions I am seeing since then are:
Revision 2257: fix bogus caps span in acronym title attribute Revision 2258: allow ellipsis after span Revision 2283: textile: fix overzealous caps span (thanks wet) Revision 2284: textile: simpler fix than [2283] Revision 2429: textile: better flist regexp Revision 2461: textile: fix lines containing only tabs Revision 2462: textile: fix br handling inside list items
Which fix in particular is affecting your ability to add classes to links?
I’m not sure but I had this problem with a few sites using the 4.0.4 version of Textpattern. Classes for links would just appear next to them like this…
I asked the developers and they told me to download the latest build of Textile from the 4.0.5 branch. It fixed the problems perfectly.
Now I’m getting the same problem in EE, using what i’m pretty sure is your latest build of the plugin (sure installed it after march but i’ll check).
That’s odd I thought the Textile Reference Manual had it. Anyway check here. This is what it should be…
"(classname)Link Text":http://example.com/link
That’s odd title should be the other side. Like this…
“Link Text(title)”:http://example.com/link
That’s what I get when testing it here.
It’s not a complete reference manual yet so don’t take it as a definitive guide.
The developer confirms in the forum thread I linked to that classes on links should work and recommends the users update their Textile version.
The Textile Plugin has been updated to revision 2462. Let me know how it works out for you, textdriven.
You may be receiving a version cached by your browser or ISP. Try dumping your caches and trying again. The download file is definitely the one I uploaded today, version ‘2.0.0 r2462’ (will show as such in the plugin manager), and testing with your syntax above is working swimmingly for me.
