I want to program an add-on to post to your Twitter account when you post a new weblog entry.
I want to add a settings area where you update your Twitter login information and select the weblogs you want to publish to.
Would this be a module, extensions or plugin? This will be my first add-on for EE and I’m not sure exactly where to start…

This would be an extension, since you need to perform an action based on an action in the workflow of the ControlPanel.

Thanks for the link… I think that’s exactly what we needed! I don’t know why I couldn’t find that when I searched the add-on directory :/ Oh well…
A lot of addons have not been submitted to the EE addon repository by their authors. It’s always worth searching the forums and the wiki.
