I’m having trouble with my freeform module and I need to change the “User is Email” to “no” somewhere in the CP, but I just can’t find it for some reason. I’m running 1.6.7

Anyone know where it’s at?

Not sure I follow. Is this a FreeForm setting?

First, my bad, it is “Email is Username”. I originally said it the other way around.

The issue is also found here: http://www.solspace.com/forums/viewthread/1022/

I tried following the guy’s path, in the thread above, to check “no” to the setting “Email is Username” in preferences, but I couldn’t get there, so I’m lost…

I have use FreeForm before, but am not that intimate with it. Let me move this thread down to third party modules.

Thanks. Maybe someone else around here has an idea. Hopefully hopefully.

That thread is in the “User” forum; and that feature is one of the User Module (another of Solspace’s modules) features. If you do not have the User Module installed then you won’t find that as an option.

Ah, and that module costs 89 bucks. So it appears I won’t be able to change the setting in the freeform module until I have the user module from solspace.

I wonder if there’s a way to get that single preference changed without having to buy or install another module. Maybe I should email solspace??

There’s not a built-in feature for that in ExpressionEngine. You could custom develop it yourself if you’d prefer not to purchase the module. =)

I wish I could custom develop it! 😊

The main thing I really need is to have a copy of the form sent not only to the recipient, but also to the sender of the message, whoever that may be on the user-side. Is there something in EE that can accomplish this? In that case, I would not even need freeform.

There is nothing like that built into EE, but I think Freeform can do that. Look at the send_user_email= parameter.

That’s what I’m using, and, I got it to work. Thankfully it was my fault. I duplicated a name in the form. So, we are good. Thanks for your time and help!
