Trying to use LG .htaccess Generator

I’ve installed the LG htaccess generator; it’s updating itself when I save a template, but I still can’t go to a page in my site without having to put “index.php” in the URL.

Is there something else that I need to do OTHER than this:

install the extension and the language file make sure it has the path to the .htaccess file give r/w permissions to the htaccess file

I can see that it’s updating… just can’t seem to use it.

If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it.

Best,
