Hi-

I am getting this error when adding an entry to a weblog.

“The following errors were encountered There was no category provided. Please go back and provide a category.”

I have no categories associated with the weblog, the entry still gets entered to the DB, but I can not figure out why it is generating this error for no reason..

Any thoughts?

Cheers Lee

Lee, there is nothing out of the box that requires a category selection; are you running any extensions? You can check in Admin -> Utilities -> Extensions Manager.

a little more on this.. it is only giving me the error when I add a file to upload…

I was using Mark Huots - File extension. I since removed this and now using nGens upload via FieldFrame..

FieldFrame Gallery Extended Extension LG .htaccess Generator Playa LG TinyMCE

Possibly a conflict with GalleryExtended.

Which I just disabled and now it appears ok… unfortunately i need GX2, might take this off to the Solspace forum..

Cheers

I’ll move this down to the Modules forum for you as well; happy you were able to narrow it down!
