I can see the new fieldtypes in the Addons folder but I cannot see them referenced when creating a new field.

There is no entry for them either in the exp_fieldtypes table

Is this a fresh install or an update, John Henry?

Your $default_fts array in the mysql_schema.php needs to be updated with the new ones

 Yep, not sure if that got missed in a merge or elsewhere, we’ll get that taken care of. In the meantime, if you change your version in config to 3.1.2 (or any version lower than 3.2) and run the updater, it should add them in for you.
