Create Member Field
How Do I?
Currently, in EE 2, Create Member Field is limited to 3 options:
- text input
- text area
- select list
Is there a plugin to extent this? Ive searched devot ee but didnt come up with anything.
Mainly I am looking for a radio select,
File upload would be nice too.

Not natively and I’ve not seen any 3rd party addons that do. However a Select field does the same job as a bunch of radio fields?
If you need other fieldtypes then one solution is to use http://ee-zoo.com/add-ons/visitor/ which uses channel entries and custom fields to hold member info.
For file uploads f you’re not using them you may be able adapt either avatar, photo or signature photo fields?
Actually, I might have figured this out.
The issue at hand is this:
I am using expresso store, and the client has a specific form that must be filled out before the purchase can be made.
I’ve beat my head up against a wall trying to integrate 2 forms (freeform pro and expresso store) and be able to carry over this data into the order from.
Then i discovered the custom member field, which i can assign in the expresso order fields… it seems like I can use any form element i want, because all I need to really do is populate that custom field.
So far, so good.
