File Thumbnails are Hidden by Icons

When working with the File field, the thumbnails are blocked by the Edit and Delete icon overlay.
It would be great if the icons were placed to the right of the thumbnail.
Also, please don’t make the thumbs larger as that would take up too much screen real estate, but it would also be nice if a larger image preview modal would appear if you clicked on the thumb.

YES, a huge +1 on this. Just starting to roll out EE3 sites now and a client has complained about the lack of information in these tiny, obscured thumbnails.
Just a quick mockup of how this could be improved while mostly keeping with the existing design.
i also second this. I thought it were a bug. I uploaded the face pics of speakers and that edit and delete icons totally cover their faces. :(
