Hello all, I’m trying to determine the best migration path for upgrading EE 2.7.2 to EE 3.3.2
I’m currently running this setup:
Shared Linux server Apache 2.4.6 PHP 5.4.20 MySQL Version 5.5.40-cll Expression Engine 2.7.2 Devdemon Updater 3.2.8 extension
Currently, I have a production site and staging site.
1) What would be the recommended path - should I upgrade first to 2.10 then 2.11 then 3.3? Or can I get away with just upgrading to 2.11 then to 3.3? 2) I also currently have Devdemon Updater 3.2.8 and would rather use this in assisting me in my upgrades - would I upgrade to 3.3.0, use it to assist with the EE ver 2.XX upgrades then manually upgrade to EE3.3? Would any version assist me in upgrading to EE 3 as well?
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
You can upgrade straight to version 3.3.2 from 2.7.2. Simply follow our upgrade from 2.x instructions and you should be good-to-go. I would do it first on your staging site, for safety’s sake. 😊
