Hi all
I’m not sure if this is the right section to post in, please bear with me. I am a total n00b to ExpressionEngine and have been asked to take a look at a website belonging to a school that I help support. All of a sudden, the main page has started to display a blank screen. index.php returns a 200 OK message but it’s not displaying any content. What I have noticed is that sub pages after index.php (e.g. http://ctsprimary.org.uk/index.php/calendar) display content as normal. After googling for similar errors I found a troubleshooting doc and have tried enabling the debug option in index.php, but there is no difference in the output.
Could someone please point me in the right direction? I have had a brief fumble around with the admin interface, which all seems to work ok, but I am really stabbing in the dark. If it’s not something simple we are more than willing to pay someone to take a look at it and restore functionality.
EE appears to be version 2.2.2
Thank you
After some more digging, I have discovered that the Structure plugin is in use. I found this document on their site which talks about upping the php memory limit:
http://buildwithstructure.com/documentation/blank_screen_on_publish_edit_or_structure_module_page/
After changing it to 16MB, then 32MB, then for fun 320MB it finally started to work. However, 320MB seems a tad excessive for a relatively simple webpage, so I now need to work out what’s going on and why so much memory is required to display the front page.
I’ll start to look at the images which have been uploaded and see if there is anything disproportionately large
