That stands to reason since neither of those add-ons have versions for EE3. I don’t think nsm_better_meta will ever be updated, but a Matrix update for EE3 may still be in the cards now that eeHarbour acquired it.

I thought they automatically get de-installed in the automatic update process, which did not happen.
I exported the EE2 database, copied the new files upgraded and had a problem.
They disappeared in the back end-panel but kept to be hidden installed in certain positions and it’s a pain to fiddle out where and manually remove them now. That’s the whole point.
I have problems to find all database entries which I have to manually remove now as I get error messages in the admin panel.
So it’s a matter of sequence how you do it, I just forgotten that essential step in the upgrade process.
Yep, before any upgrade, large or small, you need to confirm 3rd party add-ons are compatible and/or have an update, and those are done first before upgrading EE itself.
