Upload directory on separate domain

I suspect I’m missing something obvious but is it possible to specify a file upload directory that is on a different domain than the EE installation? A client is proposing to move all static content like images to a different domain (possibly CDN type server) but will still want to be able to use the file manager within EE to add and change images. Is this something that will require the Site Manager functionality or is simply not currently possible? Many thanks.

Hi,
Currently there is not a built in way to accomplish this, but I believe there are a few add-ons that add this ability. You can find a large repository of add-ons here: https://devot-ee.com
