PHP 7.1 support for EE2 before it retires?

Hi EllisLab, would you please consider adding PHP 7.1 support to EE2 before it is retired? There should only be a few bugs to fix in the admin. One of them I found is applying an empty index to a string on the general settings & member settings pages.
