Recommendations to obtain an audit of development done in EE v2.11.9

Hello,

I oversee the redevelopment of a university’s website, which our vendor is producing primarily using EE v2.11.9.

This project has been going on nearly five years, and we’re only half-way done – due to many reasons – but suffice it to say, we’re not overly thrilled with the way development has been proceeding.

We’re now interested in obtaining an independent review of development thus far – we know there are accessibility issues (i.e. development not aligned with WCAG 2.0 AA), but we’d like to hire an individual or development company to perform an audit of work performed to date, with particular focus on whether the work has been done to industry/best practice, quality of custom coding, as well as assessment of EE implementation – does what’s been done “make sense,” and/or were there better approaches than those selected?

We are not necessarily looking for a new vendor, although we are looking to widen our resource pool for EE expertise.
