Separate out selected fields in field group display

For those of us stuck with a lot of legacy fields (200+ in my case), it would be nice if field groups didn’t just show all fields in a long list with just checkmarks identifying those selected for that field group. Perhaps selected once could be moved to the top or perhaps there could be an option to show only selected fields?
