One channel form, multiple channels - is it possible ?

Is it possible to have one channel form for multiple channels and the user can select which channel to use to insert data?
Something like this:
{exp:channel:form channel="news|news2|news3"} <input name=”title” type=”text”> <input type=”submit” value=”Submit”> {/exp:channel:form}

If all channels had the same fields, and you used a custom sql insert, or maybe scripting etc. to update the channel selection in the exp:channel:form channel tag based on the user input, then I don’t see why not. I’ve never done it myself though, so hopefully someone here has more experience.
