How to save a URL in a Global Variable

How Do I?

Hi,

When I edit a global variable and put in some URL (or any string starting with “http://”), it won’t save and renders my site’s 404 page instead. It seems like it may be some kind of security “feature” or something, but I can’t work out why EE would block URLs in global variables or how to disable that “feature”. Maybe it is a bug?

I am running EE 2.9.0

Please help.
