SVG acceptable image/file format

It seems that SVG is not an acceptable image and file format. I’m synchronizing a directory in EE 4.2.1 and I get the following error message: The file type you are attempting to upload is not allowed.
(I though this was added in EE2, so maybe it’s something that got left behind…)

I just found this post that mentions SVG was retired for security reasons. Bummer, although I get why.
