API data into Channels automatically

Using some PHP I can show a collection of Google Reviews via the API.

I could show the latest reviews in a loop. However, I’m thinking it would be very cool to populate a reviews channel with data from the API. The client will then have the ability to choose which reviews they wish to show.

Ideally, I don’t really want to be cutting and pasting many reviews when hopefully this could be something automated.

I’m not entirely sure how to approach or tackle this. Some direction would be brilliant.

Or tell me this is a stupid idea altogether.
