EE4.3 - Consent Requests

How Do I?

So, I need some clarification on this. Maybe I’m using this all wrong. I want to have one of the sticky bars (bottom of browser) and says “I agree to cookies” - we all know what this is. Once someone “agrees” then that bar should go away until the cookie is deleted or removed, etc.

I’m having a bit of trouble understanding the consent stuff.. I’m approaching it like an IF statement. Is this the wrong approach?

I suppose I could just set/retrieve a normal cookie, and run a conditional on it, but I really want to understand the consent request thing. I think it’s cool that it is build in, but maybe it’s not worth it?

I’ve gone through all the docs over, have tried may tests, but I think my approach is it wrong.
