How Do I?

Hi Folks,

EE is running fine. Using 5.0 on IIS. Have an htaccess file with boilerplate code to rewrite index.php from the URL.

The homepage loads fine @ http://rootrurl.com

I’ve just set up a new channel “About” and added some content to the default template. When navigating to http://rooturl.com/About I get a 404 error.

Something missing in my setup?

Thanks,

Rick

.htaccess is not a thing with IIS, those files are specific to Apache. This reference might help you:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/application-frameworks/install-and-configure-php-applications-on-iis/translate-htaccess-content-to-iis-webconfig

Thanks for the tip!

I was able to use this https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/azureossds/2015/04/23/converting-apache-htaccess-rules-to-iis-web-config-using-iis-manager-for-azure-websites/

to simply import the rules directly from .htacess (needed a couple of tweaks) and the page is loading now.
