links to a new template or entry not working

If I make a simple link like href=”{path=template_group/template1'}/{entry_id}” in top menu for instance, it’s not working. The link will change in address bar but the browser will display template1 only after refreshing the page. I verified with IR, Chrome, Fireforx Any help? Thanks

UPDATE: The problem is solved, it was a stupid JavaScript that blocks any hyperlink in page, sorry for any inconvenience.
