I have a new site being built using data from site A, including members, mainly for author info. I have the same code on both for the author bio, and everything works except for the avatar_url.

Site A it works without a problem: src=”avatar.gif” alt=”This authors name”

Site B is shows as src=”” alt=”This authors name”

So its pulling in all the other data, just not the avatar url itself.

I have all the settings the same for avatar in both Site A and Site B

Anyone have an idea what I’m missing?

Thanks!

I can confirm, and it looks like a bug. I believe it’s related to this bug, but a separate issue.

I’d put in an issue on github- you’ll be notified when a fix is pulled in.

For the short term, I think if you go to the second site, in the frontend member profile area go save the avatar again, and then at least for me, it works.

The issue is a little complex, but it boils down to you only had 1 avatar folder in exp_upload_prefs, but you currently need 1 for each site that has an avatar, because sites are only seeing directories they ‘own’.

When you go save an avatar on the secondary directly, it’s creating a directory for that site in exp_upload_prefs.
