How to edit eecms-cform.min.css

I’m coming back to EE development after too long away, and I’m sure I’m being dozy.

I’m trying to make amendments to remove some of the overzealous code in eecms-cform so that I can mix Channel Form with Bootstrap!

There seem to be 2 versions: /themes/ee/cform/css/eecms-cform.min.css AND /themes/user/cform/css/eecms-cform.min.css

Which one should I be editing? And do I have to clear the cache to make the changes visible on the frontend? Whatever I’ve tried, it won’t update for me.

Please could someone advise?

Well, the answer here was… I’m not sure but I edited both. It was due to server-side caching that I couldn’t see the change straight away. Blah

I raised this conflict with EllisLab support back in 2017. Note, the update will overwrite eecms-cform.min.css.
