Anyone with PHP skills interested in updating an add-on for EE 5?

Are there any PHP-savvy folks out there interested in figuring out how to get this add-on to work in EE 5 / PHP 7? (This forum won’t let me upload the add-on files, but you can find the GitHub repository here: https://github.com/mcfarlandonline/obscure).

A previous contractor developed this for us and called it “obscure”. It works similar to how the {encode} tag encrypts email addresses in EE, but gives you additional flexibility by allowing you to include other elements or images within the tag.

I’ve attached an example of the add-on working in EE 3 – the source code as well as the encrypted output code.
