Change the title of an entry via the database, not GUI

How Do I?

Weird situation but super tight timeline and need to figure out if I’m properly hooked into the right database (the “right” db being DEV, not PROD). My idea is to use Sequel Pro, which I know is pulling from the DEV database, to change a post title. Then if the site loads the updated post title, I will have confirmed I’m indeed using the DEV database.

Or someone else’s brilliant idea to verify DB would work as well. Just need to make 100% sure I’m not reading/writing from PROD.

Oh, and I don’t have access to the admin via GUI so I can’t create or edit posts and such - someone else is working that part over the weekend. I’m just the “migrate the DB” guy.

Thanks!

Yes that should work, I’ve changed odd bits directly in the DB before. As usual take a backup first then give it a go.
