Reset password link redirecting to site homepage

Using EE v 5.4.2

I have a reset password link being sent that looks something like this: https://sitename.com/memberprof/reset_password?&id=d5HZyO3z

Unfortunately it looks like the reset is not working as the user is sent to the home page. I would appreciate any suggestions what I am doing wrong.

memberprof is set in the profile url segment but nowhere else.
