Hi folks,
I was wondering if any of you have tried incorporating Sphere (www.sphere.com) in their EE blog? If so, can you tell me how you did it? Sphere itself only has scripts for the mainstream CMS’s…
I asked this question in the How-To and Robin told me to post it here so you good programming-savvy folks could shed light over it and create a plug-in perhaps 😊
Thanks, Erik
Loads fine for me. One can easily see how well it works by using their SphereIt bookmarket. I randomly chose some articles from my feed reader…Tried about ten…here’s a sampling…
New York Times article on Russia…Gave me very little related. Several were OJ articles that were totally unrelated. GigaOm post on EchoStar buying Sling…Very good, almost all related. Engaget post about a new Camcorder…Hardly anything related. A DemoFall post about a new storage technology…Nothing related. Some were even about baseball.
It was pretty hit/miss for me. Out of ten, only two really gave me good related articles/posts.
back to the drawing table then
I think it could be good but since the results are so site specific and varied, one would need to run the bookmarklet over several different articles on ones site to see. If ones site got the results GigaOm got, it would be good for that particular site. Otherwise it’s pretty useless.
