Howdy All,

If I can make this as simple as possible in hopes that someone has some pointers.

  1. My page has a listing of properties.
  2. A Member can select a checkbox fro each property to request more information be sent to them.
  3. The Member selects the “request more info button”
  4. The property list is forwarded to a confirmation page where the member verifies the list and clicks a final order button.

Back End. 1. List and Member info is emailed to my cleint(s) and posted to Database where it is connected to the Member for further reference.

– I have Solspace Freeform and SAEF Redirect installed and have been working to get them to jive but to no avail.

Any Pointers? Thanx for your time Chris

Chris,

This is way more involved than base Freeform is going to handle. And the SAEF Redirect has SAEF in the title for a reason. It isn’t meant to work with Freeform but with SAEF forms (a very specific kind of entry form).

What you really need is an extension that handles Freeform forms. Which is very doable provided you know PHP as Mitchell provides two hooks in the Freeform module that allow for a wide variety of actions to take place after someone hits the Submit button in a Freeform form.

Jamie,

Thank you - I have sense found that out about SAEF. Not sure what I was thinking.

None the less I have gotten 70% down the path in that I have Freeform gathering the information I need and posting it to the Freeform CP. Now I struggle with how to repost this information from there and to verify it and send it in another form.

From what I hear from you is that this may have to take place on the on_submit with some PHP script.

Yes,

Solspace has a few extension hooks in his module that allow you to insert extra code. But you will need some SQL and PHP experience to do so. How comfortable are you with such things? More importantly how much time do you have? Time to teach yourself if you don’t have that experience? 😊

Jamie,

Experience and Time are not on my side for this project. Do you happen to know of any resources that might be able to turn this around fairly quickly?

Thanx, Chris

Looks like you will need to find a developer.

You have the Pro Network and the job forum as resources here. I think it’s likely you can get a solution pretty quickly from someone with experience. I don’t think your needs sound too complicated. However I would need more detail to make any kind of real assessment of time involved.

When dealing with developers very explicitly detailed explanations of needs are always best in that regard.

You could also see if one of the developers on here are interested in developing a solution without pay. Occasionally that works out for people with relatively simple needs. 😊
