Plugin to delete some segment of text

Hello, is there any plugin to delete some segment of text ?
exemple : “Blue sky” Launch the plugin, telling him to delete the last four charcaters, then it renders : “Blue”
All this because I don’t wanna (couldn’t) use PHP in my templates.

Actually I think this post will now deal with what you need 😉
TruncHTML is great but I think what Sylvain needs is something to delete from the end of a string and not the start. TruncHTML is still a great plugin though.
