I’ve been setting up Freeform on a web site and I’d like to include some EE data, like the full URL for the permalink of the current page. You can do this if the user is a member and is logged in with the {url} tag in Freeform.

But what if the form is for the general, non-member, public? It would be nice to pull in other EE data somehow, like maybe the title of the current weblog entry. Can I assign something to a variable and then use it within Freeform?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just wrap the entire freeform tag in a weblog tag, and then you can use the {title} variable in the value attribute of the form field that you want to be pre-populated.
