Custom Profile Field Type

I have come across the file extension by Mark Huot and I was wanting to develop something similar to this but for the custom profile field type. I am struggling to find a hook that can assist me with this and I was hoping you could give me some advice or point me in the right direction.

I’ve post some similar thread a week ago but I got no reply. I’ve looked into the members class and it seems that it’s not possible to do a hook.
You may add the hook listener manually ? I must do something like that very soon. If I find a simple solution, I’ll post it for sure 😊
