Adding a ’title’ field to Mark Huot’s file extension - is this doable?

Moderator’s note: Moved to Extensions.

Hi - I’m using Mark Huot’s fabulous file extension to handle all kinds of file types on a site currently in development.

However, I need the ability to optionally associate a title with each file uploaded, regardless of filetype.

I thought it might be a simple case of modifying the extension code a little to: - add a new field in the DB - add an input box under each file select - insert the value into the database.

But having looked at the code I’ve gotten a little lost 😊

Can anyone out there give me an idea of whether this would be easy to do? I love the way this plugin handles multiple uploads and wanted to keep using it if possible…

Many thanks in advance!

Paul

I second this - having a title field as well as other fields, such as “caption” for images, would be very handy indeed - especially when using this in conjunction with SlideShowPro for individual entry mini-galleries…
