While developing a site for a customer we have a issue while putting in some content.

When we’re uploading a picture and there is an error (to small, to large, same name, …) our (already filled in) date field changes to January 1, 1970

In an other topic (http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/86008/) they handled the same question but the issue is the File extension, not the date field from expression engine.

Somebody an idea?

Thanks

Nobody? This issue is really annoying for customers… Everytime when an error appears, your date will cleared.

Thanks on beyond!

Greetings,

Is this an issue with a specific aspect of EE, or an add-on? If an add-n, what is the name of add-on? I’m trying to figure out if this is dealing with the publish page, gallery module, or something else entirely. Thank you.

Hello Justin,

It’s within the Publish page (standard Date) and it’s occur with an error from the “File extension” from Mark Huot.

Example: Your date is 5/5/2008 You upload a file with the extension and there’s an error (too large for example)

The page reloads… Your date is now 1/1/1970 !!!!!

Thanks!

This is a third party extension. I would recommend contacting the author, Mark Huot. There is a thread >here< where you can get support for the extension.
