I just updated to the paid version of LG better Meta hoping it would sort out a character bug .

I uninstalled the previous version( 1.4.2) then replaced the files and installed it ( 1.6.1) again but no luck.

Here is the source code :

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html >

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"  />
<title>Long nose pliers - curved 11&#8221; - </title>

I read in he docs that version 1.6.1 fixed a character encoding bug but maybe this is a different one?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I’m getting that sort of thing in my titles, but there is an “official” support thread for this Extension - maybe you should post over there?

Version 1.7.1 should fix all character encoding bugs including curly quotes.

Grab it from: your member purchases page.

Thanks, Leevi. I’ll install this right now and test with an entry that has some quotes in it. Will let you know if anything goes awry.
