I’ve just installed this with a fresh install of EE 1.6.7 however whenever I enable the extension, and then try to publish a new weblog entry, I get a completely blank screen.

No errors or anything, just a big white nothing.

Any ideas?

Running on MAMP, not that should make a difference.

Update: Increasing my MAMP memory limit from 8MB to 128MB has fixed this and it’s working perfectly now!

I just purchased this extension and was having fun with it until a couple of tries and when I click on “Save Revision”….I got the following page with error messages:

SQL: SELECT * FROM `exp_nsm_pp_notification_templates` as n
                WHERE weblogs REGEXP '(^|\\|)2(\\||$)'
                AND n.enabled = 'y'
                AND n.site_id = 1
                AND n.action='create_entry'

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/admin/extensions/ext.nsm_publish_plus_ext.php:2741) in /var/www/admin/core/core.functions.php on line 296

Any idea? I am hosting EE on my own server. Linux, Ubuntu.

P.S: If I click on “Quicksave Revision”, I got something similar but the error message appears at the header of the page.

Thanks in advace!

Do you have email debugging turned on in your CP?

Hi Leevi,

Thanks for the prompt reply! Seems like that’s the culprit. Does that mean, I can’t have the email debugging function turned on when using Publish Plus?

Cheers.

Hi all, I just installed NSM Publish Plus and Live Look, and then updated to EE 1.6.7. It’s working well except for a few things that I was wondering if I could get some help on:

1) I can’t add a note until I’ve saved at least one revision first. When I click “add note” I get a blank screen with the words “invalid entry data.” This happens even though the system prompts me to leave a note before saving the first revision

2) I’ve created an entry, saved it, gone back to that entry, changed it and clicked “save draft.” I then go back to my edit tab and click on that same entry. In the Live Look window I can see the draft edits, but in the publish form only the most recent revision is displayed without the draft edits. I click on the “workflow + drafts” tab and click on the most recent draft, and still have the same thing happen. (This happens for both editors and publishers).

3) This one’s more of a question than a bug because I did read this in the documentation - Will it be possible to save a draft without submitting as for approval/saving a revision?

Thanks for this new plugin! =) LizLux

p.s. there’s one other issue:

4) We have the Solspace Primary Category extension, and when you submit a revision for approval as an editor, the primary category will not be set when the publisher goes in to view the entry. If the contributor views the same entry it will be set only for them, and if the publisher sets the it it will stay set from then on.

It sounds like you may not have modified the core files it requires. It is easy to miss… I know because I missed it too!

Look here under “6.1.1. Important core hack” http://leevigraham.com/cms-customisation/expressionengine/nsm-publish-plus/#toc-6.1

Thanks James! That fixed my issue of not being able to see the updated text in the publish form. Any hints on the notes issue anybody? Has anyone else had that problem?

How many drafts are stored and is there a way to “clean up”?

I’m glad to see other people are waiting for this. We are waiting to begin using this extension until the ability to delete drafts, revisions and notes is made available. I hope that’s sooner as opposed to later.

I have a quick question on the way the email notifications work. What if I don’t want to send an email based on a group of any kind, I just want to send it to one person? I tried just unchecking all options and putting an email under “additional recipients” and it sent my test emails to everyone in the publisher role. (oops!) Is there a way around this so I can send to only one specified email address? Am I totally missing something? Thanks!

Did anyone come up with a solution to the Clone feature not working with this extension? It works if you save the new clone as a revision, but if you try to save a draft it won’t.

Is there a way to view the latest draft of entry besides having to manually type in “/draft/” and then the latest draft id number?

I use Live Look, but still don’t see how I can automate this process.

Thanks!

When i submit a new entry as an editor, all my entry states under “workflow drafts” tab are set to undefined. I am not sure what to do to resolve this? Has anyone else had this?

I noticed this extension has been updated to 1.1.1, but the release notes haven’t been updated. Does anybody know what changes were included in the newer version?

Just purchased this extension, looks very promising!

I was wondering if there was a way to change the page a user is directed to after hitting “save revision”. Much like Publish Tweaks and REEdirect work, could hitting save revision also push the user back to the edit page, or even the edit listings? I’ve tried installing these other extensions along with Publish Plus, but they remove many of the necessary buttons Publish Plus needs to function.

Does this extension work with the cloning extension yet?

Thanks.
