… and which one do you (Lisa & vik) suggest to use: the livesearch plugin or this tread’s metod ?

As I mentioned in the thread about the plugin, performance was awful because it does a content search, so I use the thread method. That only searches titles and is therefore much faster.

Thanks. There is a new js file and has changed a bit.

The new line is this:

liveSearchReq.open("GET", liveSearchRoot + "/livesearch.php?q=" 
+ document.forms.searchform.q.value + liveSearchParams);

What should I do?

ia blind or dumb… where is the livesearch plugin? i cant find it anymore. The EEWiki points to Sacredsmile.com but there is n more a livesearch plugin to find… so…what should i do?

well, sacredsmile’s livesearch is error’ing - you should try contacting him directly.

I haven’t looked at the livesearch for a long time now. Thought I had removed it from my site… Will look through this thread when I have time as I have not been following it for a while and maybe look at the plugin again. Won’t promise anything though.
