Hi,

I copied the files for a site and its DB to a new host. I want to remove the Tag module, but when I uninstalled the module, I got an error that it couldn’t find the extension.

I get errors when entering weblog entries, even though I started with a fresh weblog.

Description: Table 'db59816_main.exp_tag_prefs' doesn't exist

Query: SELECT p.field_id FROM exp_tag_prefs AS p LEFT JOIN exp_weblog_titles AS t ON t.weblog_id = p.weblog_id LEFT JOIN exp_weblog_fields AS wf ON wf.field_id = p.field_id WHERE t.entry_id = '168' AND wf.field_id = p.field_id AND p.field_id != '' LIMIT 1

Is there a particular order I need to follow to wipe out TAG entirely?

The suggested method for uninstalling modules with extensions would be to disable the extension first and then uninstall the module.

Your migration is looking for the Tag extension.

Can you reupload the Tag extension only and enable it and then disable it and that should clear any legacy extension info from your migration.

However, since this is a third-party add-on, I’m moving it to the Modules forum and would recommend contacting Solspace if you need further assistance with it.

That seemed to work. Can I safely delete exp_tag_subscriptions table?

If I run in to further issues, I’ll contact solspace. Thx.
