TinyMCE not allowing me to set formatting to 'None'

Hi,

I am using TinyMCE for the first time. It appears to be set up correctly. I have my text fields set to normal ‘textareas’ rather than WYSIWYG to allow me to change the default formatting. However, when I set the formatting to ‘None’ the output is still XHTML.

Please can someone tell me what I need to do to make TinyMCE listen to me?!

P.S. I am using EE 1.6.7 and Tiny MCE v1.0.1 & LG TinyMCE v1.3.3
