i was doing some updates to an older site that at the time was not using the original file extension. when i decided to correct that, i had all kinds of issues related to the native EE img embed code that gets placed in the custom text input field. i don’t know if there already is a solution for this, but it would be cool that if you already have an existing site and you want to use this file extension, that you have the ability to strip out all the unnecessary code and just have image_name.filetype. having to go through every entry and doing that by hand can be quite tedious. just a thought. thanks.
When outputting the images using the variable pair the extension seems to order the images alphabetically and not how they are ordered in the publish form.
Does anyone know a quick fix to order the images in the same order that they are added in the publish form?
CORRECTION: it isn’t even alphabetical, does anyone know how the variable pair sorts/orders the images?
Just wanted to alert everybody here about the new File Upload-type field for FieldFrame. Details here:

With that you can pretty easily create a reorderable gallery that has captions.
Chris– maybe it’d be worth it to put your development time into improving the FieldFrame field types, so there isn’t duplication of effort? (Just a question– I obviously have great respect and appreciation for the work you’ve done on File Gallery.)
