Hey Simon,

A few questions to help narrow things down:

  1. Which version of EE are you using?
  2. Which version of SL Developer Info are you using (the latest is 1.3.1)?
  3. Do you have MSM installed?

Cheers, Stephen

P.S. Thanks for pointing me to that other thread, I’d completely missed it.

Stephen,

Using EE 1.6.7 (Build: 20090122) SL developer is 1.3.1 No MSM on the EE install Server using PHP4 and MySQL4.

I have reinstalled and changed the SL Developer files, and module directory permissions all set to 777 - but still get that error.

Cheers Simon

As a test I uploaded the files to an EE install on Engine Hosting - uses php5 - and everything worked great - at the moment I would say it’s a php4 incompatibility issue.

You’re absolutely right, thanks for the detective work.

I’ve made a few minor amendments and released a new version which should solve the problems you’ve been having.

Cheers, Stephen

Thanks Stephen! I can confirm it now works a treat on my php4 hosting account. Great work especially over the bank holiday weekend!

Wait, there was a Bank Holiday? Stupid self-employment.

It is extremely nice and important to view all this information in one place and can be printed out:)

Glad you’re finding it useful, dvancouver.

Good morning,

I’ve run into a strange problem. I successfully installed SL Developer Info on my ‘sandbox’ system, I’m trying to now deploy on my development system. I am recieving the following message.

Error

Unable to locate the files needed to install this module

I was able to enable the extension but not install the module. Only difference between the two systems is that we renamed the ‘system’ folder on the dev box. Thanks in advance.

Jorge

ps. I second the request for view of the gypsy fields.

Hi Jorge,

Did you update the system paths in path.php, config.php, and the Control Panel when you renamed the system folder?

At first glance it looks more like a problem with your EE installation than the specific module.

Stephen,

all the settings reflect the correct path. I will delete all the files an attempt to redeploy. To be sure…install module first, then enable extension? Thanks again!

It shouldn’t make any difference whatsoever (the extension is just used for the LG Addon Updater stuff), but that’s the way I usually do it.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers, Stephen

Any chance we can add a link to the field group? I love the links directly to the fields, but it’d be nice to link to the field group itself.

Thanks!

Version 1.3.3 to the rescue.
