Maximum characters?

Hi,
I’m using LG data matrix (v1.1.1) on a clients website for maintaining an agenda/ calendar. Before the LG data matrix extension i used Mark huot’s multi text extension. With both extensions i have a problem with the amount of text.
I’m using 3 custom fields (for different languages); agenda_nl, agenda_du, agenda_en. Which are all on one publishpage in the system. The first field, agenda_nl, can hold up to 23 rows of information. The second and third field can only hold up to 5 rows of information. I can add more rows and fill them, but when i submit the changes they won’t be saved.
Is there a maximum for characters? Of am i missing something here..? Thanks in advance!
