I’m currently about to deploy Expression Engine for my organization (http://jat.org). We currently use the Mailman mailing list software for communication among our 400 members, and are considering moving that to an Expression Engine forum.

The problem is that many members are used to the convenience of being able to post by email, something currently not possible with Expression Engine. Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to build an extension that would allow members to reply to existing thread directly from email?

If this is a project that anyone here would be interested in building, please let me know, as we have a budget that we’d like to use to implement something like this.
