Image Resizer Not Working

The image resizer was working with basic configuration (/images/uploads/locations). Then I tried another file upload image director with all proper permissions (777) and the cache folder gets created but then no image is created in that cache folder. Anyone having an issue with this one, I have not added or taken away any ext, plugins, modules, etc.
