A good resource for anything to do with Google maps is Mike Williams site at econym.org.uk
He has over 70 tutorials covering just about everything you might want to do with a Google map. It’s relatively easy to pick through the code examples and modify them to work with the dynamic data from EE.

I’ve had a look through this thread trying to make sure I don’t repeat questions to save your sanity! Say I have an events weblog and I don’t want to specify a map for a particular event, how can I do this?
I could have a checkbox field “Show on map?” and wrap this around the map tag, I’m just wondering is there anything built-in already that I missed?
