Gallery Extended vs FieldFrame, etc

I am looking to run a gallery per entry type of setup, this is my hoped integration.

nGen File Field (main photo) Gallery Extended from Solspace (not yet purchased)

What I need from someone here is are they using this setup?

I mentioned FieldFrame and that is because it does not yet work with SAEF and since this is for clients on the frontend it goes to the core of my need. Is there a work around and has anyone combined the two to create this solution.
