This has the potential to be a really great extension for the sites I’m working on at the moment, but it doesn’t seem to work as I thought it would with EE’s Multiple Site Manager. The Entry Mailings settings panel always lists all the weblogs from all of the MSM sites, rather than just the ones that belong to the site selected in MSM. This makes things much more complicated than it should be.
Can you tell me if there are any plans to update this extension to work with MSM? If it’s a relatively quick and easy thing to do, I for one would really really really appreciate it!
Thanks for listening Andrew
Should be a relatively simple to add. Once I get around to install MSM, I’ll give it a shot. I’ll send you an updated version for testing.
That said, in the next planned release mailing templates will be probably handled quite different because they will no longer be bound to a particular weblog. That will enable you to have one template for different weblog or multiple templates for one weblog.
I’ll consider MSM for that, too.
That’s great news. I can muddle on as is for the moment, but MSM compatibility will make everything much more efficient. The new features sound great too. It all makes me feel much better about my recent purchase, and I’m looking forward to all the great things I will be able to do with Entry Mailing.
Thanks again Andrew
I just like to make a feature request to this great extension (see attached). What I really need -and I’m sure there are others feel the same way is to be able to create a newsletter that is independent to weblogs.
Currently I achieve the same outcome by assigning different newsletter templates to random weblogs. But from client point of you this makes no sense, since they have to view the entry to see mailing button.
Instead “Entry Mailing” can live in its own tab and manage all newsletter tasks. What do you think?
