Hi,

I’m using FieldFrame with FF Matrix & nGen File Field for a simple photo gallery. Only now I’ve noticed that in IE(6-7) I can’t add a new row. There’s no button.

Is this a known issue or is this a conflict with some other extensions? I’ve tried to disable them but no result.

Hiya Tomaz,

I’m sure either Brandon or Fred will pop in on this one and unfortunately as I work on Mac I can’t test this in IE but I was just wondering if you’ve tried with another browser such as Firefox just to rule that possibility out?

Best wishes,

Mark

Yes, it works in FireFox, Opera, Chrome, Safari (Mac&Win;), but not in bloody IE that’s beeing used by the client 😊

I get this JavaScript error in IE:

Line: 4309 Char: 4 Error: Object required Code: 0 URL: http://domain.com/system/index.php?S=alotofnumbersandletters&C=publish&M=entry_form&weblog_id=4

I can’t view the source code in IE(??).

Extentions I’m using are: - EE’s jQuery for CP - Edit menu - File - Playa - Publish Tweeks - REEOrder - FieldFrame

Hmm as I said I’m sure one of the developers will pop in on this one and lend a hand. The fact that it works in other browsers though shows that it’s definitely an IE thing though. At least there’s a start to the fault finding I suppose.

Hope you get this sorted soon. I’m sure either Brandon or Fred will help out on this when they see it.

Best wishes,

Mark

Have you installed the lastest version of FF? Brandon improved FF Matrix in regards to IE in version 1.1.1.

There is a problem with 1.0.8 as well as with 1.1.2 :(

Make sure the jQuery for the Control Panel extension loads the most recent jQuery libs.

Those would be:

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.7.1/jquery-ui.min.js

To rule out it’s connected to your CP, does it work here: http://brandon-kelly.com/apps/fieldframe/showcase ?

edit

Apparently FF Matrix now works with IE 6, 7, and 8 now. All you need to do is update your jQuery and jQuery UI to the latest builds. If that doesn’t work, disable all other extensions and enable them one by one to see which one is conflicting with FF Matrix.

FF Matrix works all right as long as you don’t add nGen File Field to it. Then you can not add a new row in Internet Explorer.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

Can you not add a row at all or can you add a row but it doesn’t have the file-upload box?

If the first is the case, have you by any chance set the Max rows for FF Matrix to 1? If the latter is the case, I have that problem too - in any browser :long:

I’ve tried setting number of rows from 2 to infinite. In each case…there is simply no button to add a new row 😊 See picture in my first post

All extensions are updated to it’s recent version…

I am having the exact same issue as well. Using Field Frame 1.08 and nGen File Field 0.9. Users on IE 6, IE7 and IE8 cannot see the DELETE or ADD NEW ROW buttons. Any ideas?
