LG TinyMCE doesn't save settings

Greetings!

We’re having a strange problem with LG TinyMCE: when we update settings, they aren’t saved. There are no errors shown.

I’ve tried altering the ‘Settings’ column in exp_extensions to ‘longtext’ (was ‘text’), but no joy. I can save new settings by editing the defaults in the plugin, but that’s a bit cumbersome and breaks the usefulness of this under MSM.

Some details: - site is using MSM on EE 1.6.7 - LG TinyMCE extension is 1.3.3

I’d be so happy for any useful help!

tnx, -s.

Couple of quick q’s,

  • How many MSM sites are you running?
  • Which version of PHP?
  • Do you have php errors turned on?

Hi Leevi:

  • 2 sites in MSM
  • PHP 5.2.9
  • I did not have E_ALL set, but see no errors now when I try it

Thanks! -s.

I should have mentioned that I’ve found that the settings are stored to the db (“saved”) OK, but the defaults are always used instead of the saved settings.

tnx, -s.

I’m having the same problem – i have 4 sites running on EE 1.6.7 with LG TinyMCE 1.3.3. Every time I save the LG TinyMCE settings in one site, it clears the settings completely from the other sites (causing tons of errors in the headers), or the settings revert to defaults I entered weeks ago and have since overwritten. I can’t figure out what behavior causes it to blank versus revert, but either way, its a pain. Any ideas?
